Flexibility Letter

Dear Parents/Carers,

I thought I’d write and let you know just how flexible Firbobs is and how it works when you need to swap and change about:

  • If you work Shifts and do not have a regular working week you can book each month. Please let the Manager have your dates at the end of the month at the latest for the following month.  Once your dates are booked these are your sessions and they need to be paid for whether your child then attends or not.  As I’m sure you appreciate we staff up or down according to your shifts and therefore if you book in you need to pay.
  • If you book set days these sessions are yours and reserved for you therefore they must be paid for irrespective of whether your child attends or doesn’t. If you have set days at Firbobs we understand that occasionally you may need to swap or change a session and that is absolutely fine.  Any swaps must be made within that same month and cannot be carried forward to the next month, this is purely so the Manager isn’t swamped with the administration of carrying forward a missed session from 3 months ago!
  • We do not refund sessions even with notice. You are welcome to swap these sessions to another day but you will still have to give 24 hours notice just so we can make the arrangements and check he has enough staff or that we don’t have too many staff.
  • If you need an extra session please call or text your club manager. We will aim to always have a space available for your child.  With a bit of notice we will always bring in extra staff but understand sometimes emergencies happen and notice isn’t possible. If there is a space available you can have it.

I’m sure most of you are grateful for the flexibility and appreciate it.  If we can follow the above guidelines then the flexibility will work and not jeopardise the sustainability of your childcare.
